Updated Templates at Basekit

Basekit New Templates

Just before the weekend, UK-based website builder Basekit announced several new design templates for their services.

Basekit’s designs are freely available from this link. The designs are all implemented as Photoshop files, each with 4 layers that define nothing but the background of the header, sub-header, main and footer areas. All other design elements have to be implemented using Basekit’s online website builder tools.

From the Basekit announcement:

One of our many designers at BaseKit has been working hard on making some templates that focus on header and footer designs which is in keeping with the web design trends. They are fresh and new and have been especially made for the readers of the Basekit Blog. So check out this selection of templates and download them for free!

Some are great to use for your portfolio or personal site, and there are also a few business centered ones too. Also, by viewing the PSD’s you can see how the templates are made and make your own variations by using brushes or your own design for headers and footers.

Basekit launched in 2008 and after an initial funding round from Seedcamp in September that year, it announced in June 2010 that it had attracted $2.6 million in funding.
